TeenChallenge class:
for dogs 6 to 24 months old

This class is designed especially for dogs at their worst stage : 6 to 24 months : canine teenagers! It is not by chance that most dogs abandoned at Spca are in their teens. The cute puppy have grown, has tons of energy, but is certainly not calm and mature. It can be hard on his Humans!
The Teen Challenge class will teach you how to communicate efficiently with your young dog, how to react to his teen behaviour, what to expect in the months to come, how to teach him good manners, ask him to be respectful, and develop his very best potential. We want every canine teenager to grow into a model canine citizen!
Tuesdays 7:30pm (starts October 18th)
Session lasts 6 weeks
Max. 6 dogs per group.
cost: 150$ for the session.

6 weeks / 1hour per week
 Non agressive spayed/neutered dogs.
(*If your dog has serious behaviour problems, private classes will be more effective)

Program:
basic commands : sit, down, stay, come, heel, beginning of off leash.
handling: results in a safer dog that collaborates calmly for grooming, restraining, lifting, hugging etc.
clicker training: the most effective and fast way known today to communicate and teach new things to your dog. Learn it to reach easily far beyond the basics!
concentration: teach your dog to stay focused on you even when distractions such as other dogs, food, bicycles, joggers etc are around.
Develop the full potential of your dog: mental wake-up, self-control, concentration, voluntary collaboration, trust in his Human.

Board & Train

As you leave your dog at Spaws, you can use this opportunity to advance his learning. Our Board&Train program is flexible, adjusting to what you and your dog need. We can work many things: sit, down, stay, walking nicely on a leash, not jumping on people, coming when called, going on his mat, learn to ignore distractions, clicker, fantasy....tell us what you need and we will tell you if it is possible to work on it during boarding and how,

All used methods are efficient and fun for your dog. Your pooch will learn to learn, collaborate, and try to get the right answer during difficult situations. A session with you after the boarding will be planned to show you what he has learned and how to use it.

Like always, violence, fear and intimidation are abscent from our interactions with animals. We develop dogs who are confident in humans, want to collaborate and give us their best.
